I spent the last weekend by the holy river Ganges, trying to capture the beautiful, colorful and busy spiritual culture of the people around - the pilgrims to the ordinary masses to the sages and priests and to the annoying men who were trying very hard to get a shot of you in their cameras / phones. The whole experience was very enlightening for me as I have never been to any such strong spiritual arrangements. It didn't matter if I didn't look like them or if I wasn't a Hindu or that I may not understand their rituals. I felt welcomed and accepted. I attended the evening devotional event there and received many blessings. I loved it.
Triveni Ghat, where the three holy rivers meet - the Ganges, the Yamuna and the Saraswathy, Rishikesh, 2010.
